Story

One of the first works I composed while studying at The University of Florida, the hive is a direct response to Stephen Gardner's Don’t Push Your Granny While She’s Shavin’. All four parts were recorded by Moises Paiewonsky who at the time was also a graduate student at UF. It was the first work of mine that decomposed a recording session into very small chunks, which would be a subsequent technique not only in the recording of my works, but also in their creation and inception.
